In Bus Simulator 3D, you must maneuver through traffic in the city, countryside, mountains and other locations. Transport passengers and become one of the best drivers in town!
The hard life of a bus driver
In Bus Simulator 3D, you must accomplish missions by following predetermined paths. Drop passengers at each stop while picking up others up along the way. Carrying out each action correctly earns you experience points and lets you advance in the game. Conversely, accidents or driving mistakes means you lose points.
Bus Simulator 3D lets you drive various types of buses that can be unlocked as you progress through the game. Each vehicle has specific technical characteristics and driveability.
There are two game modes: Free Ride and Mission. In Free Ride, you can practice driving on the streets of the city. In Mission, you pass each level by transporting passengers within a given time and completing the planned route with the most experience points possible.
The Bus Simulator 3D leader board compares your results with those of other virtual drivers.
Several sets of controls
Bus Simulator 3D includes three different sets of controls for steering: accelerometer, virtual steering wheel and touch controls. Acceleration and braking are controlled using touch buttons.
Two game visuals
The 3D graphics are decent, but not without bugs. The scenarios are broad, but have little detail. The animations could be improved, especially with accidents, which feel very unrealistic.
The physics and movement of the vehicles, however, are above average. There are two game views: one inside and one outside the passenger compartment. The sound effects are nothing to write home about.
Despite some slight graphics defects, the game is entertaining and captures your attention. The driving is realistic and the speed of play is reduced based on the heaviness of the bus. If you love unconventional driving simulators, Bus Simulator 3D will fit the bill.
